Job Description Summary:

The IT Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Manager oversees the IT infrastructure and cloud operations. The position will require excellent leadership and team building skills, as well will have a deep and broad knowledge of networking, virtualization, server, storage, and operating system technologies, both on-premise as well as in cloud ecosystems such as AWS and Azure. The IT Infrastructure & Cloud Operations Manager will also be responsible for infrastructure security and compliance, working closely with the IT security team to ensure a compliant and secure infrastructure environment.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Establish team goals, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the IT Infrastructure and Cloud Operations team, including monitoring and responding to incidents, identifying and mitigating risks, and ensuring system availability and performance.

  • Lead the team in the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-based infrastructure using the Microsoft and AWS application stacks.

  • Drive automation, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud-native practices to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

  • Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

  • Analyze continuously the current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas for improvement and/ or changes.

  • Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry best practices to ensure that the company's IT infrastructure remains innovative and competitive.

  • Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures, ensuring that they comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Participate in the development and management of the departmental budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively.

  • Plan and document activities necessary to ensure business continuity in the event of a disaster

  • Optimize resource utilization and costs, including virtual machines, reservations, or workloads.

  • Ensure availability, performance, and disaster recovery readiness of infrastructure.

  • Implement monitoring and reporting systems to track performance and capacity.

Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure support, with a minimum of 3 years of experience managing a team.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft application stack, including Azure, Office 365, and SharePoint.

  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.

  • Experience with network architecture and design, including firewalls, VPNs, and routing.

  • Strong leadership and team building skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.

  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and in cross-functional teams

  • Ability to effectively document

Compensation Range:

$142,234.00 - $177,792.00
