You will be supporting hardware supply chain operations, inbound and outbound software licensing needs, technology and data sharing partnerships, procurement, leases, customer financing, corporate financing and developing scalable contracts process and procedures. You have a knack for developing contract templates and processes that can scale. Experience with litigation, dispute resolution, creditors, lenders and data privacy and data security a plus. Sense of humor and a strong work ethic are a must.

What You'll Do:

• Supporting all aspects of KeepTruckin’s corporate transaction activities, including those related to strategic transactions; company compliance with and advice to senior management on governance-related laws and regulations; and responsible for the formation (and ongoing maintenance) of new company entities
• Providing counsel with respect to KT’s implementation of corporate compliance-related initiatives, including: conducting legal research and drafting memorandums on compliance and regulatory issues; advising senior management on laws and regulations; and managing implementation by business units of required compliance initiatives
• Taking a lead role in KeepTruckin’s contract review function, including structuring and helping to manage strategic partnerships; negotiating and drafting partner and standard-form contracts; creating, implementing, training on, and auditing of compliance with contract-related company policies; advising internal business clients as applicable; reviewing and revising contracts within requisite time periods; reporting to senior management on contract-related metrics; and assisting with overall contract management
• Concluding contract negotiations and setting policy, pace and expectations for the process
• Honing handbooks, guidelines, and approval policies and procedures
• Providing hands-on legal counsel and strategic business advice and support to product, marketing, and sales teams
• Supporting the General Counsel to build and scale the legal function at KT

What We're Looking For:

• J.D. and licensed to practice in the United States
• Minimum of 7 years experience with contract drafting and negotiation
• Both law firm and in-house experience preferred 
• Familiarity with standard commercial, licensing, hardware, software, and services terms applicable to technology companies and can efficiently negotiate contracts on behalf of our business teams
• Willingness to think outside of the box and to take on responsibilities outside of your wheelhouse
• Strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization (experience interacting at a senior level with business management teams a plus)
• Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently
• Ability to effectively and efficiently manage outside counsel
• An individual with a great sense of humor and no ego who shares our vision that the legal team can be both a center of excellence and fun at the same time!
