Freshworks is looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Paralegal to join Freshworks’ fast growing corporate legal team. As a Corporate Paralegal, you will be responsible for  assisting with board and corporate governance matters, supporting Freshworks’ compliance matters, supporting equity-related legal matters, assisting in subsidiary management, and potentially in the future supporting Section 16 filing obligations and other SEC reporting obligations, among a variety of other responsibilities. Role and Responsibilities: 

• Assist with Freshworks board and corporate compliance matters

• Assist with compliance and corporate governance matters for our international and domestic subsidiaries

• Maintain the legal calendar for board meetings and assist in preparing legal materials for board meetings

• Maintain corporate records in an online database

• Support merger and acquisition activities, any financings, investments and other special corporate projects

• Assist in responding to requests for information and documents from our internal and external auditors, regulators, partners, and other stakeholders

• Provide assistance to members of Freshworks’ Corporate Legal team as needed in support of G&A functions such as finance, facilities, executive compensation, tax, treasury, human resources

• Future responsibilities may include preparation of Freshworks’ Section 16 reports and assistance with other SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, S-8 and 8-K filings, as well as proxy statement and annual meeting preparation.

• Assist with equity-related matters.

• Design, develop, and implement systems and process changes to increase efficiency, support scalability, and ensure quality.

• Assist with other legal responsibilities as necessary such as insurance applications, litigation, and records maintenance.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant corporate paralegal experience with a law firm and/or in-house at a public company.

• Previous experience with Section 16 compliance is required.

• Outstanding organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

• Ability to deal effectively with a variety of individuals at all organizational levels, including C-level executives and the board of directors.

• Ability to uphold the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality.

• Must be a proactive, self-starter, and team player.

• Bachelor’s degree and paralegal certification
