An Insider's view of Wish

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

We are passionate about helping the company make data-driven decisions using experimentation. The team is dedicated to constantly improving our internal experimentation platform to make it more scientifically rigorous, robust, and user-friendly.

Max

Senior, Data Science

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

My goal coming out of university was to learn how to scale the infrastructure of a growing company. Larger tech companies have mostly solved these scalability problems and Wish gave me the opportunity to solve tough problems hands on. Wish is now handling 100x the traffic since I joined and I'm still learning new things everyday.

Vitaliy

Manager, Software Engineering

What is your vision for the company?

When I first joined the company, I said ‘I firmly believe the best years for Wish are right ahead of us.’ I still believe this to be true. We have a long road ahead of us - before this vision is realized. It’s important to me that we bring everyone into the fold during this pivotal time in Wish’s history.

Vijay Talwar

Chief Executive Officer

What does career growth look like on your team?

My manager and I have been maintaining a growth plan that defines the core growth dimensions and comprehensive descriptions for each dimension at each level. In addition to clarifying expectations, this plan guides me to translate them into actionable and quantifiable milestones.

Emily

Software Engineer II
