About the Role:
Wing is looking for International Counsel to join our Legal team based in Palo Alto, California. The ideal candidate has a passion for all things aviation, transportation and consumer delivery - including demonstrated knowledge of the legal requirements of building a successful, scalable business on an international basis.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with our operations teams to identify and resolve local legal issues in Wing’s current and future markets
- Evaluate potential new markets around the world
- Coordinate and partner with outside counsel in securing real estate around the globe (including the U.S.)
- Provide guidance on a wide range of issues from human resources to compliance with business regulations
- Engage and embed with client groups to identify and work legal issues before they become legal problems - compliance by design
- Be a legal general athlete - flex and go where you are needed to apply your legal expertise
What You’ll Need:
- Juris Doctor
- 3-5 years In house legal experience with international operations, the broader the experience the better
- 3-5 years law firm experience
- Fluency translating legal advice into actionable guidance for innovative product and business teams
- Impeccable written and oral communication skills, and high attention to detail without sacrificing sense of urgency
- Ability to prioritize, and manage projects effectively
- Intellectual curiosity and practical business judgment and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated executor with ability to take action with little direction and lots of ambiguity
- Operate with respect, desire to collaborate, communicate and work across time zones to get the best outcomes for the company
