About Rippling
Rippling is the first way for businesses to manage their HR & IT — from payroll and benefits, to employee computers and apps — all in one, modern system.

In just 90-seconds, a company can set up (or disable) an employee’s payroll, health insurance, work computer, and third-party apps, like Gmail, Microsoft Office, and Slack. It’s the only platform that truly unifies every employee system, and automates all of the administrative work.

Rippling is headquartered in San Francisco and has raised $200M in funding from top-tier investors, including Kleiner Perkins, Founders Fund, Initialized and Y Combinator.
About The Role

The Employment Law Specialist will deliver effective and efficient human resources consulting services to clients who subscribe to the service. The Employment Law Specialist will help Rippling customers maximize the value of their investment in Rippling while ensuring that they remain compliant with relevant federal, state and local regulations. This is an exciting opportunity to become a foundational member of our client-facing HR consulting organization. While working directly with customers, you’ll also help design scalable processes to expand the team as we grow, while working cross-functionally to minimize the operational burden through software automation. It’s a highly cross-functional role with direct impact on our financial performance.

What You'll Do:
  • Respond to inquiries from existing clients, and develop programs and processes with our sales and implementation teams to ensure smooth new-client onboarding
  • Support our clients in reducing risk and improving business practices around issues like terminations, harassment, and other HR challenges that present legal or regulatory risk to their businesses
  • Support our clients in managing their workers compensation and EPLI policies and claims
  • Participate in client onboarding and develop client resources to help them improve their internal processes and practices
  • Establish processes to both professionalize our consulting offering and optimize our efficiency around these offerings
Qualifications:
  • Five or more years of experience in an employment law role with deep understanding of human resources compliance rules and regulations across federal, state, and local jurisdictions
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills, in both verbal and written communication
  • Strong project management and organizational skills: high attention to detail with excellent work product, time management, and execution

If you don’t necessarily meet all of the requirements listed here, we still encourage you to apply because skills can be used in lots of different ways, your life experience is equally important sometimes.

Benefits:
  • Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, HSA, Commuter, Life and Disability Benefits
  • Uncapped PTO
  • Flexible work hours
  • Generous parental leave
  • Transgender health insurance coverage
  • Competitive compensation (salary, equity)
  • Meeting-light culture
  • Onsite meals

Rippling is an equal opportunity employer.
