We are looking for an exceptional individual to be a key teammate to the legal operations team providing support on legal department intake and general legal operations tasks. You will be an active contributor to the legal operations team by embracing the values of Coinbase to ensure that the legal department is set up operationally to succeed through close coordination across all teams and standardized processes for efficient execution. You will help support the company across a broad set of legal matters affecting the world’s most trusted digital currency business. This is a fully remote position from anywhere in the United States of America. 

What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):

  • Perform intake for the legal department ensuring that all correspondence is routed to the appropriate team in a timely manner. 
  • Perform intake for litigation team from CT Corporation on service of process matters regarding litigation, arbitrations, subpoenas, liens, garnishments, and letters from counsel and also from international registered office providers for global litigation and regulatory investigation matters, ensuring that all correspondence is routed to the appropriate team in a timely manner and if required, a matter is created in Advologix.
  • Assist legal operations team with various operational matters and with other projects or tasks on an as-needed basis.

What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience as a paralegal, either at a leading national firm, or comparable in-house practice, with exposure to high growth technology companies.
  • Exceptional professional judgment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to execute under pressure and within tight timelines while juggling multiple projects.
  • Highest level of accuracy, superb attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.
  • Ability to process highly confidential data and maintain discretion.
  • A self-starter with enthusiasm, who can work independently with minimal oversight on certain projects but who is also a team player and can support on projects when needed.
  • Willingness to roll up sleeves (no job too big, no job too small).

Nice to haves:

  • Proficiency with Adobe Pro DC, Google Workspace, and Office 365.
  • Familiarity with Asana, Advologix, CTAdvantage Service of  Process, Jira, and Slack or other related software systems.
