Legal Operations Manager

YOUR MISSION
In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating processes and implementing practices to improve the day-to-day efficiency and effectiveness of the Legal team. This is a generalist role which involves managing and supporting projects across the full range of subject matter supported by the Legal team. You must be able to adapt to changing priorities and to be proactive in identifying areas of need and generating action plans. In addition, you must be able to work independently, proactively identifying areas of need and generating action plans. You will report directly to the VP of Legal.

- Identify and scope legal team needs, manage design, rollout and training for new technology tools and systems, always striving to improve legal team operational efficiency
- Identify, create and improve legal workflows, focusing on efficiency, scale and operational excellence
- Support legal team operations, project/matter tracking and team and professional development
- Organize the legal team through administrative rigor and attention to detail
- Administer and project manage legal team programs
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date process playbooks and legal procedure documentation
- Maintain legal template libraries and the legal team wiki page and other shared resources
- Source and implement legal technology and tools; own legal operations software solutions and other tools, including contract management and project management systems
- Prepare reports and metrics
- Drive strategic projects for the Legal team and collaborate with cross functional stakeholders.

YOUR PROFILE
- A bachelor’s degree or higher, preferred
- 5+ years experience in the areas of legal operations or legal program management in-house or at a law firm
- Experience developing, implementing and managing legal technology solutions, including change management
- Experience building cross-functional company relationships and leading cross-functional teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical capabilities, organizational skills, and dedication to the details
- Sense of ownership and exceptional follow through skills are absolutely essential
- Proactive entrepreneurial approach to recognizing needs, solving problems, anticipating issues and developing solutions
- Comfortable working independently and remotely with general direction, handling ambiguity, and managing up and across as needed to meet goals and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ideally you have...
- Experience in-house within a hyper-growth company (preferably tech) in a legal operations
