Quantcast seeks an ambitious, hardworking paralegal with an “own-it” attitude who can provide substantive and organizational support to our small but mighty legal team across a variety of functions. This role reports to the Paralegal Manager.
Responsibilites
- Collaborate with outside counsel for matter creation and invoicing
- Coordinate and maintain matter files
- Develop processes to streamline workflow and enable our legal team to move with greater velocity
- Build first drafts of NDAs, vendor MSAs and other standard agreements, and assist commercial counsel with the drafting and negotiation of such agreements
- Support our litigation & compliance functions including running case calendars; issue and track legal hold notifications; coordinate discovery, including fact investigation, document collection and production
- Support our intellectual property team in managing prosecution dockets; assisting with U.S. and international filing of patent and trademark applications and administration of inventor award programs
- Identify and implement new and innovative ways to support the legal team
Minimum Quaifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3-5 years paralegal experience, will consider partial legal secretary experience
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and contract management applications
- Takes pride in being highly organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to own projects, work independently with little supervision, and drive projects forward
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Creative mind and attention to detail
- Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements
- Interest in growing your skills and learning new tools and techniques
Preferred Qualifications
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program
- In-house legal experience
- Litigation experience
- Experience or interest in privacy or commercial contract negotiations
- Experience supporting IP portfolios (e.g., docketing and tracking IP assets)
- Experience in SpringCM or other contract management system
- Project management experience (e.g., managing workflows, deadlines, and budgets for a legal team)
