Our team works on complex and impactful legal problems every day, and weʼre looking for a versatile attorney to help grow our business. As our first Privacy expert, you’ll have a broad range of responsibilities providing legal guidance on initiatives impacting privacy, data protection and security. You will partner cross-functionally with our security, engineering, product and other teams to advise on data uses while managing legal risk and ensuring regulatory compliance. You will also be called upon to provide privacy and data security subject matter expertise to our commercial attorneys as they negotiate complex commercial deals that contribute to our products’ success. As we expand our offerings, your ideas and contributions will make an immediate impact.
This job cannot be performed in the state of Colorado.

- Develop, implement and maintain privacy notices, consents and disclosures to ensure compliance with applicable privacy and cybersecurity laws.
- Set and own Chime's privacy vision and enhance our efforts to protect our members. Design and scale a privacy program, including documentation; employee training; policy enforcement, monitoring and auditing; and incident response.
- Work with cross-functional partners to scope and perform periodic data privacy risk assessments, mitigation and remediation.
- Counsel and advise commercial and business teams on privacy and data protection-related provisions of advertising deals, business partnerships, and complex commercial contracts.
- Collaborate with the public policy team to monitor privacy and data-protection related developments.
To thrive in this role, you have
