Procurement Manager
- Work with leaders throughout the company on their purchasing needs. You'll develop creative and cost-effective procurement strategies.
- Build the Procurement team.
- Lead RFPs consistently, particularly with engineering, legal, and workplace vendors.
- Negotiate contracts.
- Organize contracts by dollar volume and due dates.
- Proactively renegotiate contracts with Discord's largest vendors as Discord expands rapidly.
- Work closely with Finance on their implementation of Oracle Fusion.
- Create, issue, organize, track, and approve purchase orders. Manage the PO interface with Finance. Configure approval rules.
- Establish a Procurement budget. Track expenditures throughout the year, and prepare reports.
- Establish Procurement policies around RFPs, contract size, term lengths, renewals, etc.
- Develop a playbook for departments to use when they need a vendor.
- Maintain an accurate database of contracts. Track expirations and renewals.
- Ensure contract compliance with all Legal requirements.
- Build relationships with vendors.
- Stay informed about supply chain issues and develop strategies to mitigate risk to Discord.
- Stay current with corporate procurement trends and develop strategies to take advantage of them.
- Develop supply chains outside the US, if necessary.
- 4+ years experience working in a corporate procurement function.
- 1+ years managing a team.
- Experience negotiating contracts.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly Oracle Fusion.
- Experience drafting and leading RFPs.
- Experience with vendors in the tech space, particularly engineering, legal, and workplace vendors.
- Experience building a team.
- Finger on the pulse of current trends in corporate procurement and supply chain issues.
- Proficient in G-Suite on a Mac.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work activities with strong follow through.
- Prior experience working in a hyper-growth environment.
- You're a Discord user.
- Your music playlist is as unpredictable as the commute to San Francisco.
