YOUR MISSION

As a Product Counsel at MURAL, you’ll work closely with our global product development teams to help solve thorny legal problems and enable the business to scale and grow. You’ll be providing sound legal advice to clients with respect to business operations and product development. You’ll need to be proactive and engaged, able to work well cross-functionally both internally and externally, excited about changing the future of work, and ready to roll your sleeves up and dig into tough legal problems to reach a creative solution. Our innovative services raise challenging questions that demand creative and practical answers. The primary responsibilities of the Product Counsel include but are not limited to the following:  

  • Ensure compliance with US and international laws and regulations that touch our products
  • Provide legal advice to teams from Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Security and Compliance, from the initial stages of product development to launch.
  • Work closely with our product development teams to provide counseling, education, and guidance on legal compliance for new and existing platform features and tools.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of legal resources that are required for products, such as terms of service, privacy notices and other disclosures.
  • Respond promptly to a wide range of legal requests from internal stakeholders related to products.
  • Provide sound, practical advice and guidance on legal and business-related issues.
  • Create and support continuous improvements of forms, policies, and processes to help streamline, simplify, and automate support.
  • Understand and stay up to date on applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to digital collaboration systems and services 
  • Think ahead, see around corners, and help to prepare for and minimize risks that may arise in the future.

YOUR PROFILE

  • 4+ years of relevant attorney work experience.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law
  • Innate curiosity, desire and ability to learn rapidly
  • Resiliency and comfort serving as a trusted business partner
  • Quick adopter of new and evolving technology
  • A team player with a sense of humor and self awareness
