Your day at NTT DATA
The Market Research Analyst, Americas is a critical member of the Investment team, responsible for delivering actionable insights that shape strategic decisions and long-term growth initiatives. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in market research and trend analysis, focused on the Americas region—primarily the U.S., with coverage extending to Canada and Latin America.

The Market Analyst will play a pivotal role in gathering and interpreting complex market data, identifying emerging trends, and providing competitive intelligence to support investment strategies and business planning. By leveraging advanced research methodologies and analytical tools, this position ensures that NTT Global Data Centers remains ahead of industry developments and well-positioned to capitalize on market opportunities.

Beyond data collection and analysis, the Market Analyst will collaborate with global research teams and cross-functional stakeholders to influence strategic priorities, optimize market positioning, and guide product and service development. Success in this role requires strong analytical capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define research objectives, target audiences, and methodologies.

  • Partner with market analysts in other regions to support global research initiatives.

  • Gather data from primary and secondary sources, including surveys, industry reports, databases, and online platforms.

  • Identify and define target markets, customer segments, and positioning strategies.

  • Collect and consolidate data on consumers, competitors, and market conditions into actionable insights, reports, and presentations.

  • Create clear and concise reports, presentations, and visualizations for internal stakeholders.

  • Design surveys to uncover consumer preferences aligned with business objectives.

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to extract meaningful trends and insights.

  • Perform valid and reliable market research, including SWOT analysis.

  • Maintain and update research databases with findings from online sources.

  • Provide competitive analysis on market offerings, pricing models, and operational methods.

  • Evaluate program methodology and ensure accuracy of data and reporting angles.

  • Contribute to improving research methodologies, data collection processes, and analysis techniques.

  • Stay informed on market trends and implement best practices from industry research.

  • Identify emerging industry trends, market opportunities, and potential challenges to inform business strategies.

  • Perform other related tasks as required.

KNOWLEDGE & ATTRIBUTES

  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools, data visualization software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Familiarity with research methodologies, survey design, and data collection techniques.

  • Experience in data center industry or commercial real estate preferred.

  • Knowledge of IT services or related technology fields is a plus.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings effectively.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and data integrity.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to draw actionable conclusions.

  •  Collaborative mindset and ability to work across global teams.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 5 + years of demonstrated experience in market research, data analysis, or related roles.

  • Experience in a global IT services organization preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Remain stationary for long periods of time.

  • Operate computer, peripherals, and other office equipment.

  • Primarily sitting with some walking, standing, and bending.

  • Able to hear and speak into a telephone.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments

  • Availability across global time zones.

  • Applies broad expertise and knowledge in highly specialized fields or several related disciplines.

  • Leads and contributes to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals creatively and effectively.

  • Recognized internally as a subject matter expert, working on significant and unique issues requiring evaluation of intangibles.

  • Focuses on providing thought leadership and works on projects requiring an understanding of wider business implications.

  • Advises and conveys advanced information, persuading diverse stakeholders/audiences.

  • Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups.

  • Translates functional vision into plans for a discipline and guides their execution.

  • Exercises independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • Accountable for own or team results, impacting the entire function.

  • Directs the activities of project teams.

  • This position is expected to be remote with occasional onsite requirements.

  • Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate global business hours.

  • Travel required, 30% domestically and internationally.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $ 115,400.00 - $ 141,000.00.

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
