Job Summary

We are seeking an Account Director, Performance Marketing to join our team! As Account Director, Performance Marketing, you’ll be responsible for our performance marketing focused client relationships. These relationships are highly integrated, involving strategy, creative, media, analytics and martech. You’ll establish yourself as a trusted partner to clients, and will use your expertise in performance marketing to guide them to the best solution for their business objectives

Responsibilities:

Client Relationship

  • You’ll be the main REAL CHEMISTRY point of contact with the client marketing team, developing and maintaining meaningful and productive client relationships to ensure that strategic recommendations and deliverables surpass client expectations

  • Initiate on-going communication with clients to manage and align expectations, ensure staffing resources and performance expectations are met and provides ongoing strategic counsel

  • Provide proactive counsel on research findings, the external marketplace, competitive pressures and brand influences to sell agency expertise, gain consensus on creative ideas, and develop strategic initiatives

  • Manage multiple client engagements of varying sizes in a fast-paced environment

Strategy

  • Collaborate with client peers to drive strategic solutions that respond to business and communications challenges

  • Identify new opportunities to help their business and brand

  • Create thoughtful, clear, concise decks that outline business objectives, POVs, strategic plans, etc.

  • Provide counsel and guidance internally and with client on overall campaign performance, guiding creative and placement optimizations, providing strong input on measurement data, and guiding the team on all reporting outputs. Must have strong knowledge of the platforms and data used to support and measure the overall performance of the campaign

  • Thoroughly understand REAL CHEMISTRY’s capabilities and demonstrate a passion for healthcare, digital and communications to help spot opportunities for the client to achieve greater success, reach a broader audience and use all the tools at their disposal

Operations

  • Inspire and lead internal teams to ensure technical and operational excellence in all executions

  • Serve as the escalation point for execution and project challenges, utilizing technical and influence skills to problem solve and keep projects on-time and on-budget

  • Partner with practice and shared service leads throughout the business to identify opportunities to streamline, elevate and innovate our tactical processes, incorporating feedback from direct reports

  • Work directly with Account and cross-functional counterparts (media, analytics, CRM, strategy, communications, creative, technology, etc) to develop, vet, and execute campaign scopes and ensures all team members are tracking to responsibility/budget

Required Skills & Experience

  • You’ve achieved a leadership position in marketing or advertising ideally within healthcare industry (pharma, biotech, payor, provider, healthtech)

  • 4+ years of active management of a client’s performance marketing/advertising-driven activities across display, video, social and search

  • You understand the business of marketing and advertising. You can manage internal and client teams to deliver against both client objectives and internal metrics (NPS, margin, growth, etc)

  • Solid knowledge of online advertising platforms and processes. Understanding of web and app technology (tagging, cookies, SDKs and tracking codes) preferred

  • Exceptional project management skills; demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritize and manage detailed budgets

  • Informal/formal presentation and writing skills; including presenting to clients

  • Skilled in translating complex concepts into actionable, measurable programs and recommendations
