Marketing at Crunchbase

The Crunchbase Marketing team is responsible for both product and corporate marketing initiatives, including lead generation, creating exceptional content and driving engagement with our community of users.


We are looking for an Associate Product Marketer that takes initiative to understand the product, the customer, and how to manage cross-functional partnerships with Marketing, Product, and Sales. The ideal candidate will be an empathetic storyteller with expertise in organization and project management. This person will help users and internal stakeholders alike understand our customer’s voice, including customer stories, and execute deliverables for go-to-market launches like messaging and training. 

What You'll Do:

  • Develop a deep understanding of customer goals, needs, and behavior
  • Build internal tools to equip cross-functional teams with the customer perspective
  • Drive the customer story process, including customer interviews, storyline review, and partnering with content creators
  • Help manage research & communication of the competitive landscape, learn about other players and where we win
  • Assist in the development of positioning, messaging, and go-to-market plans in partnership with internal teams
  • Contribute to the ongoing enablement of the marketing, sales, and SDR teams with collateral and training sessions

What We're Looking For:

  • 1-2 years successful product or content marketing experience with an emphasis on writing
  • Refined project management and organization skills, with the ability to simultaneously self-manage multiple projects, campaigns, and content contributors against shifting priorities
  • Excellent written communication, understanding of communication channels for specific collateral and audiences
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation and how to cater messages specifically to unique marketing personas
  • Basic understanding of data-focused products, including APIs
  • Self-motivated, action-oriented personality
