The Role

As our first dedicated communications lead, you will be responsible for expanding the Fivetran brand through analyst relations, press relations, and social media. You will own corporate communications to support exponential enterprise and self-service customer growth, along with aggressive recruiting goals.

As a Communications Director at Fivetran you will lead the following:

• Press Relations. Manage our PR agencies (we may require contractor support for EMEA and India, in addition to the U.S) to help secure earned media placements that cover product and partner launches, significant customers, and overall company growth and momentum.
• Analyst Relations. You will also manage the continuation and expansion of AR at Fiveran, collaborating with our product marketing and executive teams to conduct briefings and nurture the research analyst community. 
• Social Media. You will lead social media for Fivetran by promoting company blog posts and events, developing our employee social engagement program, and engaging with community-building activities.
• Collaboration. As part of a growing marketing team, you will collaborate with your fellow marketers and designers to develop assets, create content, and develop corporate messaging to support your PR/AR and social media goals.
• Measurement. Success in this role requires that you track, measure and share the results of your initiatives with the marketing team and the broader company.

What you'll bring to the table:

• A strong understanding of analytics and data. We’re enabling data technology for improving analytic outcomes, meaning we work with analytical and sometimes very technical users. You enjoy talking to and working with data geeks who use various data pipeline and integration tools. If you have not worked in the data industry, you will not be considered for this role.
• Command of the English language. You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Content creation and creative copy-editing experience are essential to this role.
• Messaging ownership. You are a storyteller and the owner of articulating our product capabilities and company momentum both internally and externally. You can craft catchy headlines and strategize creative ways to drum up brand awareness.
• Initiative driven, self starter. Fivetran is moving, growing, and changing quickly, an environment you embrace and enjoy being a part of even when ownership and processes are in flux.
