Customer Marketing - Advocacy Lead

ROLE OVERVIEW
The Customer Marketing team at Benchling is looking for a passionate customer advocacy leader to help elevate the success of scientists using Benchling to solve humanity’s most pressing problems. This individual will be responsible for building and delivering customer advocacy programs to amplify our customers’ innovation and spotlight their success.
In this highly cross-functional role, you will partner closely with customer experience, sales and marketing to develop long-term strategic customer relationships. In partnership with these teams, you will deliver multi-channel customer storytelling engagements across press, social, web, events and more. The ideal candidate will possess superb storytelling abilities and excellent written communication skills. This person will also have a track-record of success leading cross-functional teams to drive results, experience building long-lasting customer relationships and relish operating in a fast-paced environment.
WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
- Create a best-in-class experience for our customer advocates by building a process to effectively identify, recruit, track, and enable advocates in a way that elevates their story and purpose, and builds lifetime heroes for our brand.
- Manage every stage of the co-marketing relationship lifecycle with exceptional attention to detail, making the engagement as easy for the customer as possible.
- Develop internal communication channels and lead end-to-end promotion to keep employees informed of new customer stories.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse set of internal stakeholders including creative, legal, finance, support, sales and marketing experts.
- Support company events by confirming customer participation and building content to highlight their success.
- Partner with Content Marketing team, agencies and contractors to develop customer inclusions in case studies, blogs, eBooks and more.
- Measure and drive program effectiveness with clear KPIs to track program performance, determine impact and ROI.
- Create compelling customer-facing and internal presentations.

- You’ve got a full portfolio of engaging content you’ve produced in various formats to drive business results across a wide range of audiences.
- Strong relationship-building skills with proven experience effectively driving consensus across diverse teams in multiple departments.
- You’re intellectually curious and a ruthless prioritizer.
- Experience in developing and delivering innovative, compelling, and persuasive presentations.
- Dynamic, confident personality that is self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Can-do, positive, inspiring attitude with an outside-the-box, innovative and creative mindset.
- You have proven ability to successfully define a customer advocacy strategy and set of programs, with clear measures of success
- You’ve got strong experience partnering with customers to develop customer-led content that demonstrates customer success and value across multiple channels and content types (case studies, press releases, videos, events, digital, social)
