Firefly is a category-defining and fast-growing Silicon Valley startup creating the next disruptive platform in Out-Of-Home Advertising. Firefly operates a network of Internet-Connected Digital Screens on the tops of rideshare platform (Lyft and Uber) drivers’ vehicles and taxis, thereby serving location and time dependent advertising and content for brands such as Turkish Airlines, Hotel Tonight, Venmo, Postmates, and Bonobos. 

 

Location: This role can be located in San Francisco, Los Angeles or New York.

As Director of Ad Operations, you will play a mission-critical role in Firefly’s success. You will be responsible for campaign delivery, ad tech system management, defining future resource needs and scaling the team, reporting, yield management, and analytics. You will delight in collaborating with Product and Engineering to build a proprietary ad server, with all the bells and whistles! You will innovate with our Programmatic Sales team, rapidly connecting pipes to supercharge new revenue streams. You will blow your own mind working with our Measurement team to prove the value of our street-level digital media network.

Responsibilities

  • First and foremost, embrace ambiguity and innovate, iterative and improve every day.
  • Build Ad Ops from scratch - identify resource needs, define KPIs, hire and train team, etc.
  • Oversee campaign onboarding, pacing, optimization, reporting.
  • Yield management and pricing.
  • Provide user feedback and influence product roadmap for the development of the ad tech stack.
  • Testing and troubleshooting.
  • Vendor management.

Qualifications

  • At least six years of digital ad operations experience, including a solid understanding of the programmatic ecosystem.
  • Proven success managing people - whether direct reports or outsourced/offshore teams.
  • Experience with Salesforce, SQL, HTML5.
  • Very comfortable with off-stack data (spreadsheets or proprietary systems and tools).
  • Ability to create documentation and conduct training.
  • Start-up/ownership mentality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
