As the Director of Brand Experience (Retail and Curated), you will oversee the brand vision in The RealReal’s retail locations and Luxury Consignment Offices, as well as our Curated by TRR selection online. We’re looking for a passionate storyteller with a strong curatorial eye - someone who understands that a store shouldn’t be just about great product, but creating an experience for the customer that stays with them long after they leave. Your role will oversee our team of curators, sourcing products that bring the brand to life, in real life.

What You Get To Do Every Day

• Store and LCO interior design. Concepts, mood boards, sourcing furniture, art and decor for new and existing stores
• Concept and execute in-store storytelling elements. From visual merchandising to messaging in-house expertise around authentication and consignment, to trend displays spotlighting the latest news from the runways, to holiday window displays
• Oversee all store visuals, including mannequins, window displays and product shelves, to ensure the best product is on display and representative of the brand and our core customers
• Manage the visual merchandising calendar for the store with rotating schedule of new window displays, in-store pop-up shops, etc
• Oversee visual merchandising at the store for events, ensuring everything from the signage to the table settings conveys the look and feel of the brand
• Oversee our team of curators, providing visual direction based on themes and sourcing products
• Grow the Curated by TRR business. Bring the online gallery experience to life on our website 
• Build the team as needed

What You Bring To The Role

• 7+ years’ experience in visual merchandising. Luxury experience and management experience preferred
• Confident with both high-level conception and day-to-day visual execution
• Positive, engaging attitude with customers, especially during times of high volume
• Strong sense of teamwork and a resourceful, self-starter mentality in a fast-paced environment
• Strong art, design and trend knowledge
• This role requires travel to our stores in LA, NY, Chicago as well as other future locations
