The Role
The Director of Growth Marketing, will play a critical leadership role to unlock growth across all of our segments and customers. If you’re a strong consumer marketer with a knack for creativity, strategic thinking and hands-on leadership, we’d love to meet you. The ideal candidate will be a thought partner to our clients, drive growth and build lifelong relationships with our members by identifying market trends, growing audience opportunities, and optimizing channel mixes - including partner owned channels.
A successful candidate will bring to bear a combination of strong marketing and partnership experience. They will be a data-driven, forward thinking leader, with a knack for creativity, innovation, and collaboration.
The Responsibilities
- Own customer engagement targets for across all segments of the business
- Develop multi-channel marketing campaigns, including paid media, influencer, PR, email, direct mail, and more, to accelerate growth and drive adoption
- Activate and inspire plan sponsors, our most important influencers, to amplify our message in their channels, and ours
- Identify, pilot, and roll out innovative engagement opportunities (ie partnerships, events, industry strategies) to meet revenue goals and foster partnership with clients
- Build strong strategic partnerships with clients, positioning the team and Carrot as a pivotal resource to drive mutually beneficial strategies and outcomes
- Coach and develop high performing team to build a best-in-class marketing org with a growth mindset
- Lead and implement a range of growth and monetization initiatives with a strong focus on data analysis
- Partner with the Product Team to define user onboarding journeys, and increase acquisition and referrals across all funnel stages
- Develop a roadmap of growth marketing experiments
- Propose creative new projects, from building free tools and apps that attract prospects and convert leads to testing new approaches to capturing existing demand
About You
- Strong consumer marketing or digital health background, including an instinct for understanding the consumer or members and ever evolving market trends
- Highly inquisitive, with a background in solving complex problems and unlocking open space opportunities
- A strategic thinker, with the ability to think creatively, utilize data and consumer insights to build winning marketing strategies
- A partner-oriented growth mindset, with the ability to understand consumer, client, market and business needs and create marketing plans that delivers against all objectives
- A results driver, with a keen focus on understanding the business economic drivers and prioritizing efforts accordingly
- A team player with the ability to manage up, down and across the organization
- 10 years of relevant work experience with a background in customer acquisition and retention
- 5+ years of experience in growth marketing and scaling tech companies, ideally with experience in a successful startup
- A deep understanding of growth funnels and how to optimize at each stage
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and performs well under pressure, is adaptable, versatile, and detail-oriented
- Team leader, with experience managing teams, coaching employees through growth plans, and moving a team toward achieving goals and objectives
- You create, optimize, and iterate on campaigns across lifecycle, paid, and organic channels to drive adoption
- You inspire your audience towards action with clear value propositions and creative
- You create data-driven frameworks and systems to define and communicate priorities
- You define success metrics, analyze performance, experiment, and iterate quickly
- You are scrappy and maintain a strong bias towards action.
