What You'll Be Doing (i.e., Job Duties)
- You will bring rigor, structure, and a big picture mindset to both how we operate and how we go to market for a complex multi-pillar marketing organization
You will help design marketing team processes to manage three levels of marketing team impact - (external) complex customer journeys to ensure seamless handoffs across the marketing ecosystem, (internal) stakeholder and partner management plus ad hoc marketing wide initiatives (summits, etc), and team deliverables
You will ensure marketing teams are communicating across the funnel and that customer "handoffs" are seamless, especially related to email verified users, MAU’s
You will benchmark and build a marketing-wide measurement program, to proactively identify trends and root causes for performance, recommend action on key business drivers tied to core KPIs, and work with analyst teams to provide data-driven direction on ad-hoc/day to day level campaign analysis
You will develop strategies for untapped areas of marketing investment, to help design and lead the continual evolution and scaling of our marketing org and strategy, architecting a vision for how things should ideally work tied to results.
What We Look For In You (ie. Job Requirements)
- 10-12+ yrs experience in Marketing, Operations, Strategy Consulting, Biz Ops, ideally in B2C and B2B/Two sides marketplace context
- We’re looking for someone with extensive hands-on experience with: process and project management, creating complex user/buyer journeys as inputs to systems that fire based on user signals, and ideally e-mail marketing
- Experience automating successful marketing strategies through technology (i.e., marketing automation software; connecting content from CMS to CRM efforts for personalization) - not just using manual effort to scale email / further personalize content - a strong plus
- Highly prefer someone with a strong operational and strategic background (figuring out the tools and views to empower a team to do things more self-service, become more efficient, avoid errors, identify opportunities for cross sell/scale, etc.)
- Analytically minded - uses data to make decisions
- Gives clear guidelines, objectives to teams and coaches to get to desired results ; Prefer someone with considerable management experience / development oriented
- Open to new ideas and the value that others bring. There should not be a “right” way of doing things - we are building (and iterating on) the right way for Coinbase
- Demonstrates ownership, resourcefulness, flexibility, willingness, and patience necessary to lead and adapt within a hyper growth company and industry
