Director of Marketing

The Opportunity

As the Director of Marketing, you’ll drive our work bringing more patients to PicnicHealth’s platform. 

We are looking for someone who has successfully built a multi-channel b2c marketing program, ideally within Healthcare. You’ll be responsible for growing our existing channels and expanding into new ones to help reach patients across diverse communities. You bring experience building and mentoring growing marketing teams, managing budgets, and setting strategy. At the same time, you’re eager to jump in and get your hands dirty with the day to day in order to truly understand what’s working and where we need to experiment. This is not your first start up rodeo - you have a track record of taking initiative and thriving in a results-oriented, fast-paced start-up environment. 

The position will be high-impact and high-visibility within the company. You will collaborate closely with teams throughout the company and initially report directly to the Head of Growth & Recruitment. 

As the Director of Marketing, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning, creating, and owning multi-tactic marketing campaigns for patient recruitment across all channels;
  • Oversee messaging, lifecycle marketing, communications and collateral development;
  • Oversee direct-to-patient recruitment channels including social, search, display, email, referrals, small-group advocacy;
  • Build and manage multi-channel marketing team;
  • Work closely with partnerships team to execute secured through-partner recruiting deals; 
  • Manage vendors and agencies; 
  • Collaborate closely with product team to drive patient onboarding; and
  • Provide strong cultural leadership on a highly collaborative, cross-functional and mission driven team. 

You are a great fit if you have:

  • At least 10 years of experience, preferably in Healthcare or related field;
  • Successfully developed, planned, and executed a multi-tactic marketing strategy;
  • Strong marketing design knowledge or expertise; 
  • Created informed projections by channel with limited data and understand interplay of different channels on success;
  • Built, scaled, and mentored marketing teams;
  • Built direct-to-patient messaging & recruitment programs and develop new ways to engage with patients cohorts online; and 
  • Vetted, hired and managed vendors and agencies.

Due to COVID-19, currently all roles are remote. As of October 2021, we will offer a hybrid set up: team members in the Bay Area will be able to work from the SF office on a flexible schedule; remote team members will be expected to travel to in-person meetings 4-6 times a year.

Location

We are in the heart of downtown SF just south of market street. There are tons of restaurants, cafes, and shops at our doorstep and we are 3 blocks from Powell Street BART.
