Director of Performance Marketing
PagerDuty is looking for a strategic, analytical, and results-oriented leader. As the Director of Performance Marketing, you will define the plans to accelerate customer acquisition through pipeline generation for all segments of the business from Enterprise to SMB. You and your team will optimize existing channels and identify as well as test new areas to meet our customers where they are.
How you impact our vision:
- Performance Marketing Strategy
- Lead acquisition efforts and develop channel strategies to exceed company targets for demand gen and trial sign-ups, with an eye toward cost-efficient growth
- Develop full-funnel performance marketing tactics to facilitate the full customer journey to conversion, including content sponsorships
- Responsible for paid media budget allocation across existing and new test channels
- Optimize the channel mix and customer journey through rigorous testing and experimentation
- Manage performance marketing programs across all paid media channels such as LinkedIn, Twitter, SEM, Programmatic Display, Review Sites and explore new channel opportunities e.g DemandBase, Reddit, Youtube
- Optimize campaign performance by running A/B tests on campaign goals, messaging, CTAs, creative, and more.
- Perform audience research to develop new campaign ideas
- Leadership & Management
- Build and lead a team of performance marketers, acting as a player-coach while thoughtfully scaling the team and processes
- Manage agency resources effectively to maximize team output and drive results
- Partner closely with Campaigns, Content, and ABM Field teams to ensure successful execution of digital campaigns
- Identify and clear roadblocks for the team and enable cross functional collaboration
- Data Driven
- Analyze performance data and provide campaign results, data stories and spend recommendations. Rapidly iterate on strategy based on findings.
- Define KPIs and measure success by setting goals with measurable success criteria for each channel.
- Collaborate with data team on assessing efficiency & ROI of all channels through attribution analysis
- Champion A/B testing to continuously improve performance and identify new opportunities for growth through creative and landing page optimization.
Knowledge, skills and experience
- 6+ years of work experience in Performance or Internet Marketing focused on driving customer acquisition or pipeline growth
- 3+ years of experience managing a team
- Strong understanding of marketing attribution with experience leading efforts to define attribution model
- Highly proficient in Excel (pivot tables, graphs, formulas, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal skills, time management, decision-making, presentation, organizational and problem solving skills
- Skilled at influencing and working cross functionally with Content, ABM Field Events, Campaigns, and Finance teams
- Ability to operate and excel at strategic as well as tactical levels --Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done
- BA/BS degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Math or similar program, or equivalent work experience
