About the role


Sisu is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial, innovative Product Marketing expert to join our marketing leadership team. Reporting directly to the CMO, the Director of Product Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing the product marketing strategy, with specific focus on driving the company’s positioning and messaging. This is an unique opportunity to help build an amazing product and establish a winning position in this fast-paced, cutting edge industry.



What you’ll accomplish:

Leadership

  • Become a thought leader in the Data and Analytics industry and a Subject Matter Expert for the product. On occasion, act as the company spokesperson, where you will brief press, analysts, and partners on the product.
  • This leader will serve as the primary liaison between product development, product management, marketing, sales and customer success to ensure alignment to drive mindshare, market share and revenue growth. 
  • Work closely with sales and the broader marketing team to develop and rollout a go-to-market strategy. 
  • Ability to influence the broader team to buy-in fully to the approach and execute goals and objectives with enthusiasm.
  • Opportunity to build a team. Will need to identify, recruit and develop talent. Ability to lead in a dynamic business, and establish Sisu in the Analytics and Data space.

Product

  • Lead market and customer needs definition, competitive analysis, product messaging and positioning, across all products.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer driving the key features into new releases. 
  • Ensure products are competitive in their target markets; influence product roadmap, and collaborate with product management on pricing and packaging.

Messaging and Content

  • Own the “Messaging House” for Sisu, including the development of Messaging Source Documents to be used as inputs for marketing and sales content. Will require the ability to translate technical features and functions into business-friendly value propositions.
  • Lead, guide, and develop product-related content for websites (think SEO and SEM), white papers, ebooks, blogs and more. The content will successfully drive and educate prospects and customers. 
  • Develop and execute on product launch strategies. Implement, scalable and repeatable high-impact product and feature launch processes. Ensure Sisu solutions are ready to go to market with appropriate cross-functional support and readiness including sales and partner enablement, and sales tools development. Establish and measure product launch goals – both those owned directly by Product Marketing and those expected of other supporting groups.

Sales and Enablement

  • Update sales tools - customer presentations, collateral, website, videos - and deliver product-focused sales enablement and field readiness.
  • Work with sales to secure early customer adopters for solutions.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, revenue driven, results-oriented with mastery of the art and science of product marketing. 
  • Passionate about working in a startup environment, which requires the ability to be hands on and innovative. Looking for someone who has a strong sense of urgency and can lead and drive a team to success. Must be an effective written and oral communicator with all stakeholders.
  • Minimum of 5 years in technology marketing, with an additional 5 to 10 years in product management or Sales Engineering, preferably with SaaS or data & analytics offerings in a high-growth company. Hands on analytics experience is a bonus.
  • Excellent customer skills with significant experience in a customer-facing role such as sales, SE, implementation services or technical support.
  • Experienced with the Command of the Message and MEDDIC methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree required in a technical or business field. Advanced degree a plus.
