Crunchyroll COVID-19 Hiring Status

About The Team
The Growth Marketing team is responsible for user acquisition and retention marketing across our streaming, events, and commerce businesses. We have grown Crunchyroll to over 4 million paying subscribers and over 100 million registered users internationally. Our mission is to deliver premium video experiences to passionate fans. We strive to meet this mission in all marketing campaigns, and partner closely with creative, content, audience development, product, and analytics teams to do so. We deploy an eight-figure budget against a wide array of paid marketing channels to drive conversion, brand awareness, and new users; and we lead lifecycle communication designed to engage, retain, and upsell our existing users.
About You:
- 10+ years of experience leading global user acquisition and media strategy across paid and organic marketing channels
- In-depth knowledge of paid media and marketing channels including paid search, social, and mobile app to drive users through the marketing funnel
- Consistent track record of scaling global growth
- Experience with managing, building and mentoring high-performing teams
- Data focused approach in handling significant budgets to hit marketing goals
- Ability to analyze user data to develop CAC goals across various channels in key markets
- Specialist in performance marketing and stays abreast of digital marketing standard methodologies and trends
- Collaborative, strategic problem solver with an understanding of consumer fandom
- Experience with marketing analytics tools including Google Analytics, Amplitude, mobile measurement partners, and multi-touch attributions tools
- Prior hands-on experience executing performance marketing campaigns
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
A day in the life of our Director of User Acquisition:
- Lead global web and mobile user acquisition strategy and execution to maximize return on investment and hit CPS and growth targets across Crunchyroll’s streaming, commerce, and events businesses
- Set media strategy to scale user acquisition efforts in order to propel global subscription and user growth by testing new channels and optimizing existing channels
- Lead the paid media team and provide mentorship and support
- Maintain relationships with ad partners and third party vendors to align on opportunities to drive growth and efficiencies
- Collaborate with Product to drive conversion rate optimization and SEO improvements
- Analyze marketing spend across channels and regions to optimize and improve budget allocation and CAC models
- Partner with Business Intelligence to develop reporting to track spend, performance, and pacing to goals
- Work closely with Brand Marketing to drive top of funnel user acquisition and engagement as well as align User Acquisition campaigns with brand messaging and feel
