Productboard is looking for a highly motivated, sales-focused field marketing leader to support our Sales Teams, globally. The Global Head of Field Marketing position is responsible for building and leading a global team of field marketers aligned to our regional sales directors. A qualified Head of Field Marketing has a strong understanding of sales-focused marketing as well as our audiences of product executives, product leaders and product managers. They enjoy working with sales leaders to understand the needs of the sales teams, and meeting those needs through effective partnership, strategy, and execution.


Responsibilities include:

  • Hire, train, coach, and lead a global team of field marketers
  • Lead the partner marketing function and integrate partners into demand generation plans to drive mutual success.
  • Own the budgeting process for field marketing efforts and drive positive returns on investment.
  • Implement forecasting rigor and drive accountability across team to hit targets.
  • Meet or exceed our annual plan to grow demand for each of our sales teams.
  • Define what field marketing needs from brand marketing, comms, product marketing, performance marketing, marketing operations, and marketing program management to ensure regional sales support.
  • Ensure field marketing adheres to global brand marketing standards, and is aligned to overarching marketing strategy.
  • Ensure our global channel marketing strategy can be effectively deployed regionally by enabling our resellers with campaign components and guidelines.
  • Help global marketing functions refine their strategy based on regional feedback.
  • Partner with sales leadership on territory planning.
  • Own and set the standard for effective account-based marketing (ABM) practices, worldwide.
  • Set the standard to ensure effective collaboration across marketing and sales roles for regional campaign execution.
  • Manage field marketing budget and hiring plan.
  • Be an advocate for the sales department and help the rest of the marketing department understand their priorities.

  • Ensure field marketing contributes productively to the quarterly business reviews of the sales team they support.


 

What we want from you:

  • Must have demonstrated success delivering, accelerating, and expanding sales pipeline through regional field marketing initiatives.
  • 7+ years of marketing experience.
  • People management experience.
  • Strong communication skills without a fear of over communication. This role will require effective collaboration and coordination across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to empathize with the needs and experiences of product management teams.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with supporting both direct sales and channel sales teams.
  • Experience owning and leading effective and efficient account based marketing (ABM) programs globally.
  • Deeply experienced in both traditional (events, roundtables, direct mail) and modern (digital, ABM) field marketing strategies and tactics. And understanding of how traditional and modern tactics can be integrated to generate larger deals and pipeline velocity.
  • Deeply analytical and revenue focused, with a clear ability to set pipeline goals around field marketing programs and a hyper focus on how those programs translate to pipeline impact and closed/won revenue.
  • You have a bias towards action.. You favor practical choices, speed and a respect for sequencing. You focus on the things that matter and push back on things that don’t. You make deadlines for yourself and you move fast.
  • You’re scrappy and entrepreneurial. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable with not knowing the answer to something. You are willing to roll up your sleeves no matter what the challenge is.
