Function of the role:

Reporting to the General Manager of the San Francisco office, the Growth Marketing specialist will support our San Francisco sales teams by creating and maintaining effective campaigns, supporting go-to-market (GTM) strategies and leading our email marketing program.  In this role, you will work with sophisticated sales professionals, business intelligence and marketing teams as we build out our early-stage tech and agriculture (cannabis) verticals.   

 
Main Responsibilities will include:

  • Elevating Leyton’s profile across channels and identify ways we can be more effective in engaging with our audiences.
  • Creating effective marketing campaigns geared towards clients and prospects, working closely with the Marketing & Sales team(s), graphics and editorial personnel.
  • Developing a website and social media traffic plan with goals and benchmarks to meet.
  • Optimize website and social media channels for SEO and usability.
  • Owning and maintaining site analytics, metrics and campaign reporting, as well as analyze key performance indicators and identify trends.
  • Generating reports as needed for Marketing Manager and Management Group to measure marketing’s performance.
  • Determine best practices and think creatively on ways to improve our strategy.
  • Own digital toolkit/campaign development process end-to-end: from creative briefings, digital channel strategy, creative development, feedback gathering and reporting and learnings
  • Perform quarterly content gap analysis and identify content needs
  • Be an effective communicator capable of identifying and translating marketing collateral and thought leadership pieces to digital assets
  • Lead email marketing testing strategy, testing variables like frequency, subject lines, copy, layouts, and more to drive engagement and conversion
  • Partner with internal BI team to automate key metric reporting needs and leverage this data to provide insight and inform strategic decisions
  • Design, manage and develop automated & triggered email campaign journeys
  • Manage the day to day email & marketing calendar, including asset coordination, QA and development of all campaigns

 

Desired experience and skills:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required, and a major in Marketing is preferred 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience, The ideal candidate should have digital marketing experience appealing to early-stage west-coast tech businesses.
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing Virtual Media.
  • Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM implementation and optimization. 
  • Highly creative with experience in identifying target segments and devising campaigns that engage, educate, inform and motivate.
  • Must have very strong computer skills, specifically, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word as well as the Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with marketing email systems, Salesforce, Mail Chimp, Active Campaign, Canva, Templafy, and WordPress are helpful. 
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, are a must. Mature, professional and confident attitude necessary, along with ability to work with all levels of employees. Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize workload.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

We are located in the heart of San Francisco's Financial District (FiDi)!The office is surrounded by many historic landmarks such as the Transamerica Pyramid and plenty of restaurants and bars! No car? No problem- our office is easily accessible traveling on bus, muni/Bart, and even ferryboat.
