As our Head of Corporate Communications, you will develop and execute Included Health’s PR and Corporate Communications strategy. You are a passionate storyteller who will work closely with key stakeholders and senior leadership to ensure that Include Health’s communications and thought leadership programs are tightly aligned to business objectives, priorities and strategic direction. With a proven track record of success in developing and managing communications strategies for high-growth organizations, this leader will elevate Included Health’s profile to support the company’s rapid growth.


The role is located in the San Francisco Bay Area. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create strategic narratives that build awareness, influence and affinity for Included Health
  • Lead a results-oriented and passionate communications team that spans public and media relations, social media, events, and investor and analyst communications 
  • Work closely with the C-suite and key collaborators across the organization to shape the company’s narrative for key audiences
  • Establish objectives with business stakeholders in the organization to support the organization’s OKRs
  • Nurture relationships and regularly engage with high-value business and financial media, community organizations and trade associations 
  • Guide Included Health’s conferences & events strategy and speaker & awards programs
  • Work closely with our policy team to develop and drive communications programs that advance our advocacy initiatives
  • Manage external agencies and vendors that are supporting investor relations and corporate communications
  • Create and execute communications processes to continually drive efficiencies

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • A strong understanding of the healthcare landscape; strong preference for experience working with digital health and/or consumer health brands 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • Member-first mentality with a connection to our mission to raise the standard of healthcare for everyone
  • Media-trained to serve as a company spokesperson
  • Strong collaboration skills, clear team player, can-do attitude
  • Project management: Good at juggling multiple projects at once and recommending prioritization, timelines & processes to ensure all success criteria are met
  • High emotional intelligence with a strong executive presence 
  • High Attention to Detail: well organized with the ability to work quickly with a high attention to detail to ensure quality work
  • Strategic: Able to be innovative and strategic at a high-level as well as roll up your sleeves and get things done
  • Creative: Ability to think outside the box to innovate new communications and PR strategies and tactics
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, resource-lean environments

Education and Experience:

  • 10-15 years of experience corporate, financial and crisis communications experience in mid-size to large national brands; ideally, in-house
  • At least 5 years experience serving as an on-the record spokesperson
  • Proven ability to counsel and coach executives, and influence and build partnerships at all levels of the company
  • 5 years of experience in a leadership role with people management responsibilities
  • Demonstrated excellence in executing media campaigns (PESO) and building relationships with media, especially top-tier and broadcast media
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
