The Head of Web Marketing is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end website content and performance through deep customer understanding, robust experimentation and focused execution. This includes creating and managing content/optimization calendar for the entire marketing organization, defining value propositions on the website, optimizing conversion rates, and strategically balancing technical & creative needs as well as short & long term benefits.

 

This role reports to the Head of Lifecycle Marketing and collaborates closely with Performance/Lifecycle Marketing, Website Product/Content Writer and Brand/Product/Creative Marketing.


Key Responsibilities

#1 Conversion Optimization

  • Create marketing strategies & tactics for website PM to maximize conversion from visitor to purchase.
  • Create optimization calendar and document process and timelines to govern new tests for PM/marketer.
  • Build a robust conversion monitoring mechanism with analysts to keep track of conversion rate for thousands of different customer segmentation.
  • Hands on Google Analytics web traffic path analysis
  • Hands on Google Optimize A/B test
  • Partner with the website PM to monitor/optimize website performance.
  • Partner with the website PM to build new website optimization requirements.
  • Partner with the performance marketing channel managers to monitor/optimize campaign performance


#2 Content Management

  • Elevate the quality and performance of the Next website for new and returning users
  • Understand and design for the user journey through our site over their lifetime
  • Build website information architecture that connects marketing content strategy with product sitemap. 
  • Develop guidelines and development strategy for Campaign and Product landing pages
  • Create content calendar and document process and timelines to govern new content for writer/designer.
  • Work with brand team to define how to best communicate value proposition on our website, align to our product positioning, brand voice, and campaign strategies.
  • Take a data driven approach to defining priorities for website development and optimization
  • Identify asset needs and initiate briefing through handoff and QA for product, promotions and content updates based on marketing calendar.
  • Partner with the website PM to ensure all images, copy, products and promotions are functioning and rendering properly.
  • Partner with the website PM to build new website architecture, flow, layout and feature requirements.



Desired Skills and Experience

  • 8+ years experience of website business/revenue owner in B2C eCommerce environment
  • Must have website information architecture & sitemap design experience.
  • Must have in-depth Google Analytics experience.
  • Excellent in CRO conversion rate optimization
  • Excellent in creative review, messaging and content evaluation
  • Hands on experience in CMS tools, such as AEM, Drupal, WordPress...
  • Hands on experience in A/B testing tools, such as Google Optimize, Adobe Test & Target…
  • Hands on experience in Tag management tools, such as Ensighten, Tealium, Google Tag Manager...
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • Working knowledge of SEO

Our headquarter office is located in the College Terrace neighborhood in the city of Palo Alto, California and near all the local eateries on California Ave. We also have offices in Rochester, NY and Boston, MA.
