About Us:

Finix is on a mission to create the most accessible fintech market in history. To do so, we are building the global operating system for fintech. We’re rewriting the financial services industry, one API at a time, to lower barriers to entry, drive competition, and make the financial system more equitable and accessible to all businesses around the world.

Finix is unique in the market. We build payments infrastructure for vertically-focused software companies (think restaurant, yoga studio and winery software) and fintech providers so they can own and monetize payments without the heavy lift of building complex systems from scratch or relying entirely on disjointed third-party services. Our job is to make our customers’ lives easier by making payments invisible.

About the Role:

As our Internal Communications Lead, you'll drive initiatives within the Communications department to create an outstanding experience for Finix staff across the country. Working with our Senior Communications Manager, you will drive clarity and awareness for programs across the company, helping create a culture of transparency and information sharing so our employees are informed, empowered, and excited about Finix. You will implement strategies to drive the adoption of core internal communications systems and identify ways to drive business objectives through the various communication channels. You're energized by working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where you have the ability to deliver outstanding contributions.

You will be responsible for internal communications content that is delivered within Finix including memos, executive emails, company-wide events, etc., as well as aiding in the creation of marketing materials and public relations work as needed.

As our Internal Communications Lead, you will:

  • Write and edit communications in collaboration with our Senior Communications Manager, C-suite executives, and HR team in a thoughtful manner, often under tight deadlines
  • Manage our internal communications processes and calendar, ensuring the most important messages get to our audiences, that our employees know where to go for the information they need, and that our mission and values are woven into the DNA of our internal communications
  • Support the logistics, content development, and promotion of company-wide events (All-Hands, Ask Me Anything sessions, guest speakers, cultural events, etc.)
  • Manage and optimize internal communications channels such as Weekly Memos, Slack, Confluence, Google Surveys, etc., including monitoring statistics and driving insights to help us improve the effectiveness of the platforms
  • Manage and update ongoing internal assets, requested trackers, and messaging materials

You are:

  • A self-starter who takes pride in their work and relationship-building capabilities
  • Proactive in finding information, solving problems, and getting things done
  • Emotionally intelligent with the ability to build strong professional partnerships
  • A confident critical-thinker who can jump into many different problems and situations to come up with tactical recommendations and solutions
  • Flexible, creative, and able to be a team player
  • Diplomatic and remain calm under pressure
  • Positive with a "can do" attitude and react quickly when plans change

You have:

  • 4+ years of experience in communications and/or marketing
  • Bachelor's degree in related course studies such as Journalism, Communications, Marketing or Public Relations
  • Outstanding organizational and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey a story and turn the most complex topic into easily understood material for all
  • Unquestionable integrity and experience managing confidential information
  • Experience working with senior leadership

Finix is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
