Reporting to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications, this newly created position will help build and support the way we keep Discord's employees informed, engaged, and connected during this exciting time of growth.

The role of the Communications team is to help shape and tell our story as we continue to serve the 150 million people (and counting!) who come to Discord every month. We are a pun-loving group of creative strategists that understands how communications positively contributes to Discord's mission. What You'll Be Doing

• Craft employee communications plans and messaging for company announcements across various channels
• Create and maintain Discord's editorial calendar for our internal Discord server
• Support programming of our weekly company-wide All Hands meeting, working with leaders throughout the company to bring valuable content to our employees
• Partner with the People team to plan company events including kick-offs, celebrations, and other official gatherings 
• Identify opportunities to strengthen our internal communications ecosystem, ensuring we're inclusive and that information is easy to discover and consume for all employees 
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives including Discord's plan to return to the office as a hybrid workforce 
• Support day-to-day tasks from drafting written Q&As, creating templates and best practices, to contributing to cross-functional projects 
• Support broader company-wide priorities to measure employee engagement
• Support and strengthen the information flow from the top of the organization to the bottom (and vice versa)

• 3+ years experience supporting successful internal communications programs
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• In-house experience
• Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
• Translate complex ideas into concise, easy-to-understand communications to a variety of audiences
• A creative mentality when it comes to finding solutions

• Familiarity with the Discord product
• A passion for the employee experience
• Experience working with People teams and executive audiences
• Experience successfully communicating change in a growing organization
• Experience with communication programs from a global, local and hybrid perspective
