Role Description

As a key member of the Internal Communications and Culture team, you’ll play an integral role in telling the stories of the employee experience at Dropbox outside of the US. You’ll partner with our leadership teams across Europe (EMEA) and Asia (APJ) and connect our global programs, amplifying what’s happening outside of the US. You’ll work closely with our Content Strategists to increase engagement across our internal channels, elevate company-wide moments, and tailor our communications in each region. We are creative and driven, globally-minded, open to risk-taking, and heaps of fun. And we’re excited to continue scaling up outside of the US as we grow globally!

  • Elevate the profile of non-US-based leadership across the business and support Global Leadership visits to EMEA and APJ
  • Source and write engaging and meaningful content for our internal intranet, focusing on our interesting internal and customer stories across the world
  • Partner with Content Strategists and other team members to execute on our overall strategy, including creative content (e.g. our tech team on creating videos)

Requirements

  • 7+ years of work experience and 3+ years of experience in communications/PR, journalism, or marketing
  • Excellent writing and communications skills (a grammar pro!)
  • Proven ability to communicate thoughtfully and creatively to various employee audiences
  • Experience working for a global company and communicating across multiple regions
  • Problem solver with excellent organizational and project management skills, and the ability to be timely, responsive, and resourceful
  • Proven ability to work independently and exercise good judgment in fast-paced, dynamic environments, as well as the ability to escalate appropriately

  • Comfortable working in a Virtual First environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work directly with cross-functional partners (including senior leaders), inspire confidence, and manage up as needed

Additional Perks + Benefits

In order to be successful in our Virtual First environment we needed to make changes that would allow employees to have more control over both where and how they work. Therefore, we embrace “non-linear workdays” with defined core collaboration hours that overlap across time zones. Beyond that, we encourage employees to design their own schedules to balance collaboration with needs for individual focus. We’ve also moved from “all day syncs” to an “async by default” culture, reserving meetings for discussion, debate, and decision-making, and handling all other work in our deep focus hours.
