ABOUT THE GROWTH TEAM

Varo’s Growth Marketing team is responsible for customer acquisition, engagement and retention. Our goal is to attract customers who would benefit most from Varo, make sure they have a seamless onboarding experience, and help them get the most out of Varo after they join. The Growth Marketing team is small, nimble, data-driven, and results-oriented. If you want to have a clear and measurable impact on the business from day one, this is a great team to join

WE’RE LOOKING FOR AN ENGAGEMENT MARKETING MANAGER WHO WILL

  • Drive strategic growth initiatives focused on on-boarding, engagement, resurrection, referrals and more
  • Support conceptualizing, creating and executing retention, engagement and referral initiatives via automated and personalized email marketing programs, push notifications and in-app messaging
  • Manage lifecycle and referral campaigns from end to end; strategy, calendaring, creative strategy, implementation, deployment, optimization, monitoring, reporting and analysis
  • Set up and monitor complex journeys, triggers and automations.
  • Ensure campaigns (including tests, segmentation and complex personalization logic) are set up and deployed accurately
  • Partner with data scientists to uncover user insights, create and design an experimentation roadmap and execute a rigorous A/B testing agenda to enhance campaign effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product, Engineering, and Data Science to deliver compelling new personalized customer journeys
  • Develop and execute the strategy for the customer referral program at Varo, i.e. get our happiest customers to refer their friends to Varo
  • Formulate creative ways to promote the referral program
  • Be data driven in measuring the performance of the referral program

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCES THAT’LL HELP YOU BE GREAT

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing CRM programs
  • Experience leveraging a complex marketing automation/CRM system, e.g. Braze
  • Deep knowledge in customer segmentation and list management
  • Creative and empathetic thinker; you care deeply about our customers and can build precise targeting as well as delightful, on-brand experiences
  • Passion for data-driven marketing and building programs that drive incremental results
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills 
  • Experience building and / or managing a customer referral program at a fast-growing technology company (nice to have)
  • Experience working cross-functionally and communicating results to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in a results-driven environment and an impeccable track record of hitting goals
