We’re looking for a Marketing Analyst to help us research and identify new and more efficient ways for Shippo to acquire new customers. In this role, you’ll work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product to understand Shippo’s acquisition channels, funnel, and customer lifecycle stages. You’ll work to establish tracking and attribution across paid and organic channels to better inform future opportunities and investments. The ideal candidate possesses the analytics chops to run quantitative analysis, plus the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies for Shippo’s Sales and Marketing teams. 

 

SOME OF THE THINGS YOU’LL WORK ON 

 

  • Work with Marketing, Sales, and Product to ensure proper tracking and attribution across all acquisition channels
  • Analyze Shippo’s customer acquisition funnel from awareness through retention and recommend opportunities to optimize
  • Measure ROI and efficacy of marketing and sales campaigns across search, re-targeting, banners, email, and more. 
  • Report on marketing KPIs including traffic, leads, conversion rates, revenue, channel performance, and more.
  • Monitor budget distribution and performance of paid ad campaigns
  • Conduct competitive research and analyze benchmarking data
  • Recommend website and campaign optimizations
  • Research and recommend new marketing, sales, and data tools to support our efforts. These could be new automation tools, better tracking, BI, data integration, and more.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to identify opportunities for new client acquisition

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Previous relevant work experience in Marketing Analytics or related field 
  • Knowledge of customer acquisition funnels.
  • Ability to analyze performance across web properties, search, paid ads, email, and partner programs.
  • Understanding of Google Analytics. Experience in implementation is a strong plus. 
  • Strong analytical skills. Experience with SQL is a bonus. 
  • Strong communication skills, especially the ability to present results cohesively to technical and non-technical audiences, including company leadership.
  • Previous experience working with BI tools (we use Looker) and product analytics tools like Heap, Mode, and Pendo.
  • Familiarity with CRM and Marketing Automation software. We use SFDC and HubSpot, but you don’t need to know these two specifically. We can teach you. 
  • Eagerness to get your hands dirty and ability to manage multiple projects and workflows.
