We have the following exciting opportunity within the WishX team as a Marketing Communications Specialist.

Job Description

We are seeking an empathetic and tech-savvy marketer to sit on cross-functional WishX team focused on customer retention and success. The ideal candidate will have a blend of strategic communications and marketing backgrounds and experience collaborating with both technical and creative teams. This candidate will have a sharp understanding of email marketing, social, and in product marketing and be able to triage and create connections strategies within the right channels. He/She will bring a tremendous passion for Wish’s mission, empathy and understanding of our community and a go-getter approach. This role will bring together traditional product marketing and communications skills to promote trust and transparency; ultimately enabling stronger community connections, with a primary focus in the B2B realm. 

Responsibilities

  • Create efficient marketing materials that are distributed to customers, including emails and brochures. They may also work with design teams to create other materials such as videos and white papers.

  • Distribute marketing materials through the appropriate channels. Research both online and offline channels to learn how to best distribute marketing materials for maximum exposure.

  • Track metrics such as customer engagement and conversion rates to identify ways to improve during future marketing campaigns. Report on campaign performance and analyze data and create presentations on that analysis to deliver to upper management.

  •  Set up interviews as part of a marketing campaign. This involves contacting customers and partners.

  • Act as primary communications champion for Wish’s B2B marketing/advertising and sales functions as well as Comms. Candidates should have a strong attention to detail, be execution oriented, thrive in fast-paced, high-intensity environments, have strong business acumen, superior verbal, analytical and writing skills, and should be enthusiastic, well organized and team focused. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a good sense of humor are essential.

  • Work in partnership with channel owners (Community Center, blog, social, CX, email) to define the editorial approach and messaging, then manage campaign-related feedback to the business to inform decision-making and future comms.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years experience in marketing or communications, at world-class tech company or startup. 

  • Best-in-class verbal and written communicator. Strong writing background and editorial acumen are a must.

  • Ability to work within a matrix, solve problems and influence cross-functional teams

  • Experience managing cross-functional teams

  • Been exposed to product strategy, design and development principles and processes

  • Managed creative agencies and led creative production experience a plus

  • Conducted, synthesized, and applied user insights, research, and testing to marketing strategy

  • Marketing software (Campaign Monitor, Google Analytics, Hubspot)

  • Email marketing software (Mailchimp, Campaigner, Campaign Monitor)

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Data analytics tools (Excel, Tableau)
