The Role:

Seesaw is looking for an experienced storyteller, content driver, and powerful asset creator who thrives in a fast-moving environment to join our growing marketing team. The Content Marketing Manager embodies a customer-first, data-driven approach. This is an exciting opportunity to design and execute marketing programs that support lead generation, brand awareness, customer advocacy, and more. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, strategic, and passionate about education.


The Team:

This role reports into the Content Team. You will be partnering with content product managers and the sales team to help generate awareness, acquire, and retain customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop digital marketing campaigns targeting a variety of audiences including teachers and school/district administrators. Campaign objectives will vary from driving awareness of and excitement about the Seesaw Lessons content to sales initiatives designed to encourage engagement and ultimately purchase.
  • Lead the creation of content that connects with teachers and school/district administrators, including email campaigns, videos, landing pages, infographics, presentations, “one pagers,” webinars, case studies, white papers, and more. Some content may be created by you and some may be done in partnership with other team members. 
  • Execute marketing initiatives projects from start to finish, including: idea generation, project management (kickoff, timelines, review), writing, researching, and editing content.
  • Managing internal & external stakeholder input to ensure quality and alignment
  • Operational implementation (understanding systems) 
  • Research and test new content formats and channels that capture and keep attention, increase brand awareness and generate inbound leads.
  • Define and track key metrics for content marketing success; regularly evaluate how content is performing in terms of views, keyword rankings, conversions, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 4+ years in a content and/or product marketing role.
  • Empathy and ability to put yourself in the “shoes” of our customers - primarily teachers and administrators but also families and students.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage deadlines across multiple ongoing projects.
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to either work in or quickly learn a variety of programs and platforms (e.g. G Suite, email marketing tools like Outreach and Autopilot, InDesign or Illustrator, etc.).
  • Exceptional writing skills and a visual design eye to lead the production of high quality, on-brand content assets.
  • Driven by data - continually evaluating and understanding metrics and making recommendations for actions and campaigns.
  • Desire to stay up-to-date with the latest educational trends and customer challenges.
  • Collaborative teammate who is values-driven, supportive, and committed to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Classroom or education experience is a big plus
  • Enjoys working with cross-functional teams to create campaigns and assets that meet audience needs and fit the tone of the brand.
