Mobile Acquisition Manager
Grammarly offers a remote-first hybrid working model. Team members can work primarily remotely. Starting in 2022, teams will meet in person a few weeks every quarter in one of Grammarly's hubs, currently in San Francisco, Vancouver, New York, and Kyiv. To ensure that teams are able to overlap in their working hours and to meet face-to-face when needed, all team members need to live within three time zones of a hub. Grammarly team members who will be collaborating at our San Francisco hub must be based in the United States.
The opportunity
Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect, whenever and wherever they communicate. More than 30 million people and 30,000 teams around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant every day. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Mobile Acquisition Manager to join our Acquisition Marketing team. This role will be responsible for the ongoing management and optimization of key mobile app acquisition channels, such as Google UAC, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snap, and DSP partners (e.g., Liftoff). The Mobile Acquisition Manager will own the daily management and optimization of these channels while developing and executing a testing roadmap. They will also need to be self-reliant when analyzing and reporting their channel’s day-to-day performance and tests. Success will largely be determined by growth goals: newly acquired users, CPA, revenue, and ROI targets for channels. This will also require cross-functional collaboration, particularly with Product, Growth, Data Science, Creative Strategy, and Lifecycle teams.
Your impact
Grammarly has an audacious vision to improve the quality of communication around the world. Mobile is a part of that vision and one of the fastest-growing areas of our business—with more than 2x revenue growth year over year. We expect mobile to continue to grow at a similar pace over the next few years, so this is a huge opportunity to be part of and influence that growth. We are currently running campaigns on seven channels, each with their own challenges and opportunities. You will be able to own the management, optimization, and testing execution of these channels, and you will be able to work cross-functionally with our creative teams to concept and launch new creative and messaging tests across all channels to continue to optimize and scale.
In this role you will:
- Assume ongoing management and optimization of key mobile app acquisition channels.
- Manage channels across iOS and Android.
- Design and implement testing frameworks—prioritizing, running, and measuring experiments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Growth, Data Science, and Creative Strategy teams to achieve growth objectives for Grammarly’s mobile apps.
- Influence Grammarly's mobile product development directly by sharing insights and learnings.
We’re looking for someone who
- Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
- Possesses strong marketing fundamentals and experience with the management of multiple mobile acquisition channels across iOS and Android.
- Has experience working on large-scale performance marketing operations.
- Has multi-channel digital marketing experience, including but not limited to: paid search engine advertising, paid social advertising, display advertising, retargeting, and native advertising.
- Understands CPA, ROI, LTV, payback periods; has easy fluency with how different metrics affect one another.
- Can consider, play out, and weigh alternative scenarios based on strategic objectives.
- Can develop a strategic pipeline for innovation in performance marketing and in relation to other teams’ goals and projects; can allocate resources (bandwidth and spend) accordingly.
- Relentlessly sets aggressive short- and long-term goals and possesses a strong internal drive to achieve them.
- Has a strong handle on growth experiments: specifically, can devise a sound experiment in order to learn with incomplete data.
