Paid Search Manager
The opportunity
Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect, whenever and wherever they communicate. More than 20 million people around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant every day. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a Paid Search Manager to join our Acquisition Marketing team. This role will be directly responsible for the continued optimization and potential scaling of our paid search campaigns (Google and Bing), including creative testing and refreshes, product and promotion highlights, geographic optimization strategy, and ROAS optimization. The Paid Acquisition Specialist will also be responsible for Apple Search ads and app store optimization, and work on scaling and optimizing the channel through keyword and storefront exploration and testing.
Your impact
Paid Search is currently a key acquisition channel and also has growth potential through increased segmentation, specialized messaging, creative testing, and cross-team collaboration. It plays an integral role in driving new user acquisition—both directly and by assisting other top-of-funnel channels. The Acquisition Marketing team at Grammarly will also be expanding full-funnel strategies to paid search and app stores. The ultimate measure of success will be driving a portion of new Grammarly consumer users, bookings, and app downloads.
In this role, you will:
- Take full ownership of our paid search (Google/Bing) campaigns, Apple App Store ads, and Google Play ads.
- Own and execute a prioritized roadmap of experiments to increase new user growth and conversion rates.
- Collaborate with other members of the Paid Acquisition team to execute full-funnel campaigns.
- Contribute to creating an end-to-end attribution model for new user acquisition through paid channels.
We’re looking for someone who
- Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
- Has experience building and executing paid search campaigns.
- Has experience with app store optimization and mobile install campaigns.
- Understands CPA, ROI, LTV, and payback periods; has easy fluency with how different metrics affect one another.
- Has a strong handle on growth experiments: specifically, can devise a sound experiment in order to learn with incomplete data.
- Has an understanding of web tracking principles and possesses advanced data analysis skills.
