About the Job:

The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible to lead and collaborate with relevant team members to ensure key product Go-To-Market announcements are delivered on-time and on-quality. 

You’ll build a go-to-market strategy and execute on that strategy to ensure our customers have all the information they need to move their freight quickly, efficiently, and reliably. This requires deep expertise in the competitive landscape, understanding gaps in the market, and having the ability to look around corners based on trends and a pinch of intuition. 

Product Marketing Managers are the voice of our shipper and carrier customers. You have deep empathy for our customers, backed by market evidence and analysis, that drives the positioning and messaging of our products and services. This intelligent empathy also translates to collateral that makes our sales team successful.

Lastly, you will collaborate with leadership and sales channels. Cross-functional collaboration requires someone who works smart, not hard -- you have a sixth sense for knowing when to do versus when to trust & delegate.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates and highlights our products in the market
  • Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of OPL’s operation services to the sales team and help develop the tools that support the selling process.
  • Product launch – help plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Develop creative campaigns to drive awareness and buzz for pre-launch sales.
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them. and prioritizing, driving alignment, and managing deadlines 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of directly relevant SaaS product marketing experience in the enterprise space
  • Bachelor’s in business or marketing
  • Exceptional written communication skills

  • Impeccable attention to detail and desire to continuously improve your process
  • Proven success working cross-functionally with internal business partners - Strong candidates will have experience in owning initiatives involving senior leadership from product, PR, communications and marketing teams. 
  • Ability to work cross functionally and derive value propositions from product while distilling custom messaging per customer

  • Proven ability to score and prioritize sales leads across segments

  • Experience or Event Marketing preferred

  • Ability to drive research across clientele and deliver relevant marketing assets such as case studies and white papers
