Job Description

Wish is looking for a seasoned social media professional to lead a dynamic and diverse team that specializes in driving growth, engagement and entertainment on our organic social media channels. You'll be responsible for ensuring that the team is set up for success, our brand is cohesive across our core social channels and we're achieving company goals.

As the Senior Manager, Global Social Media you will develop and champion Wish's social media strategy reaching over 54m followers across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and Twitter. You will own social from planning to measurement, and be able to lead cross-functional work and collaborate with strategic marketing, content, design, and communications to build experiences that deepen connections with Wish. 

What you'll be doing:

  • Refine the social strategy and develop a strategic playbook for creative social-first content that aligns with our brand.
  • Identify efficient ways to build, source, and curate photo and video content for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Twitter and Pinterest. 
  • Drive strategy for each campaign by taking data, consumer behaviors, budget, KPIs, the current social environment, audiences, platform opportunities and brand voice into account.
  • Run monthly deep dives where you'll analyze the success of each platform and identify areas for improvement.
  • Help define each campaign strategy and planning for targeting and optimization on global and regional social channels.
  • Mentor, encourage and guide a team of social media and content managers to create new concepts that elevate the brand, are culturally relevant and deliver results.
  • Collaborate with influencer marketing and community management leads to build cohesive strategies and ensure consistent brand messaging.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to bring company-wide marketing campaigns to life.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 7+ years of experience in social media management, including in-depth knowledge of global social media platforms, emerging channels and mobile platforms.
  • 2+ years of people management experience with an ability to develop talent.
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms and organic and paid engagement.
  • Proven record of creating a distinct brand persona/voice and channel strategy unique to each social platform.
  • Has a vision in the social media space that identifies new trends which fuel innovative content development.
  • Has a pulse on emerging platforms and audience behavior trends.
  • Customer-focused strategic thinker who is able to show how social impacts the overall business.
  • Excellent collaborator who works with leaders from across the organization to develop campaigns that are on-brand.
  • Works well in a team environment with a start-up culture.
  • Charismatic leader that fosters teamwork, accountability, respect and an overall positive and fun work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ​​​​​​Experience working with large scale, consumer-facing global brands.
  • Proven track record of growing a large social media presence, exceeding 1m followers for a reputable brand with a multi-cultural customer base.
  • Broad experience in brand identity, content strategy and development, video, and paid social media.
  • Experience in multi-cultural marketing/PR.
