Carrot Fertility is excited to add a proven search engine optimization (SEO) marketer passionate about guiding employers toward family-forming benefits for all.
In this role, you will develop and implement SEO strategies to ensure Carrot is performing SEO at scale. But we aren’t merely looking for an expert SEO marketer — we’re also looking for one with a heart for helping aspiring parents overcome the complications and challenges that often accompany the fertility journey. If that’s you, you will use SEO to attract employers and show them what Carrot is all about. You’ll translate customer insights into your marketing SEO strategies, identify how to optimize our website for SEO, ensure the right internal linking, and improve Carrot content to increase our visibility in the market.

Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and own overarching SEO marketing strategies and tactics
- Lead efforts to solve complex SEO problems, implement ideas, and deliver results. Dive into issues and incidents, perform ad hoc analyses as needed, and escalate them to ensure resolution
- Communicate SEO performance and initiative status to stakeholders in monthly and quarterly business reviews
- Perform keyword research and mapping
- Analyze competitor and keyword rankings/trends with regular reporting and insight
- Partner with Content Marketing lead to develop content strategies for search opportunity, keyword analysis, and audience intent
- Optimize copy and landing pages for SEO opportunity
- Analyze link profile reports and find patterns of potential spammy links to update disavow files
- Investigate and report shifts in traffic and ranks
Requirements
- Proven track record in managing SEO projects from inception to completion
- Deep understanding of SEO content strategies and tactics
- 4+ years of experience in a technical SEO role
- Proficient working knowledge of various SEO tools (e.g. SEOClarity), Google’s Keyword Planner, Google APIs, speed monitoring tools
- Highly competent in Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Passionately curious about the latest SEO trends
- Data-driven, analytical mind, and exquisite attention to detail
- Working knowledge of SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Proven track record of delivering results and earning the trust of senior stakeholders
