Senior Social Media Manager
Course Hero is scaling! Our Social Media Manager will develop and implement a creative social media strategy to connect with students, educators, and tutors across all social media channels. They will manage the production of engaging and creative content for cross-platform distribution. The social media manager will be responsible for crafting, curating, and scheduling content that engages Course Hero's audiences. They will build trust by delivering valuable information to help students, educators and tutors be successful while offering support throughout their learning journey.
This highly collaborative, creative person will also assess data to optimize and adjust strategies that yield optimal results. Working closely with teams across the organization, the social media manager will lead storytelling, audience development, and customer support strategies. The candidate should be a critical thinker, that’s resourceful and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment. They will also be responsible for evaluating and establishing a Course Hero presence on new platforms, where relevant.
This is a full-time role located in Redwood City, CA.
Here are some ways you’ll make an impact:
- Develop a strategy to support Course Hero’s business goals, engage target audiences and ultimately improve awareness of the brand
- Craft social media copy and produce compelling visual content to promote learning, announce product features, share news, and support campaigns
- Manage daily operations of Course Hero social media properties including analytics and customer support
- Collaborate with customer support to ensure that all queries are responded to in a thoughtful and timely manner
- Collaborate with communications, marketing, creative, and educator engagement teams, to best represent the brand
- Develop timely, relevant content in response to trending, cultural and industry-related moments
- Develop data reports, monitor performance, assess metrics, and regularly report results to the broader team, ensuring growth of the community
- Implement best practices and benchmarks for team operations
- Work with vendors and channel partners at Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and others
Are you our next Social Media Manager?
- 5-7 years of relevant social media experience, working with consumer-facing brands
- BA degree in a related field – marketing, creative, communications or journalism
- Excellent photography, video and graphic editing skills. Confident working with Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, Mojo, Canva and other visual and audio editing tools
- Experience with data and measuring social media through a range of tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- In-depth knowledge of the creative and technical specs for each platform
