The Role
- As a social media manager your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist in North America social strategy, content and community engagement strategies while serving as a voice of the brand to consumers, influencers and retailers across social channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok)
- Working closely with graphic designers and copywriters to develop compelling creative and copy to effectively communicate Afterpay’s unique value proposition across social platforms
- Working with community management agency to finalize, schedule and publish all posts on owned social media accounts
- Building a quality community of engaged fans and followers, meeting aggressive growth goals across Afterpay’s social platforms
- Creating innovative programs across social that amplify merchant partnerships and drive awareness and engagement
- Aid in developing and managing influencer relationships across Instagram and TikTok, executing briefs that create brand-right content for publication on influencer channels and Afterpay channels
- Maintaining intra-company relationships as a cross-functional social ambassador with UK and Australia regional social teams, along with nearly every department (Partner Marketing, Product Marketing, CRM, PR/Comms, Customer Service, Performance Marketing, and Creative teams), keeping abreast of all possible opportunities for social and remaining aligned with overall business objectives
- Assisting sales team in new business presentations by uncovering and sharing community insights in impactful ways
- Partner with customer service to keep them in-the-know on social campaigns and arm them to address questions or issues that arise.
- Aid in delivering social media reporting, social media listening, and creative analysis
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years of social media marketing, ideally related to retail or finance
- Proven success of building a robust and engaged social media presence for brands
- Expertise in driving adoption across social channels
- Understanding of Photoshop or other graphic design software and video editing tools
- Understanding of when to enlist a set of social tactics to meet different KPI; from brand awareness, to customer acquisition, to driving sales for retail partners
- High bar and taste level to creatively express the brand aesthetic
- Experience working cross functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, visual
- Understanding of data and analytics and how to leverage unique insights to make the right marketing decisions across social
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
