Social Media Specialist
- Implement social media strategy and coordinate daily content calendar projects including copywriting, asset coordination, and postings to @discord-owned channels.
- Source and manage content creator contractors to create frequent original content for Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
- Track analytics specifically for our social media channels to determine growth, traction and return on investment.
- Work with Brand Marketing, Creative, Customer Experience, Legal, and Product teams to curate and develop content to build overall brand awareness.
- Submit and refine creative briefs and asset requests to ensure platform-right, channel-right content is delivered from the creative team.
- Brainstorm and work directly with the Social Media Manager to execute campaigns and content.
- Keep your eyes and ears on the pulse of the Discord community. Tell us about their suggestions and concerns.
- Keep up with up-to-the-minute social media trends, and insights from the types of communities. Communicate audience knowledge to the wider team.
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- 2+ years in social media marketing
- Experience creating content and using platforms such as, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube & TikTok
- Project management experience
- You bring fresh ideas to any project or conversation
- In-depth knowledge of social media trends and meme culture
- Someone who isn't afraid to take on all kinds of tasks and learn new things
- A deep knowledge of the Discord product and audience
- A passion for gaming or experience in the gaming industry
- Experience using multiple social media tracking software and tools
