We are seeking a creative and motivated Communications and Employee Engagement leader who is passionate about fueling our mission-driven employee experience through strategic communications and values-aligned programs. Given this exciting time of growth, we are redefining our practices and foundations for internal communications, DEIB (diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging), and employee engagement programming to ensure our team of 2,000+ feels engaged, informed and connected so they can do their best work.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and optimizing the employee experience across the employee lifecycle - from the first time someone learns about us externally, through their tenure at Included Health and as an alum. The ideal candidate will partner with leaders company-wide to develop inspiring, compelling, and connected communications. They will advise on narratives, messaging and communications strategies with the goal of driving employee engagement, amplifying our talent brand, and enhancing pride and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities:

Internal Communications:

Develop and lead our internal communications team and strategy to ensure team members understand our priorities, business impact, values and culture.

Advise leaders on messaging, approach and execution strategy to help them achieve desired business outcomes.

Produce compelling and relevant omni-channel stories rooted in our company purpose, priorities and values.

Devise and implement internal communication plans, calendars, content and collateral, including key program, product and company announcements/updates, crisis and change management messaging and company All Hands.

Employment Brand:

Develop and mold our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and ensure it is reinforced consistently throughout all experiences that touch the employee lifecycle - from pre-start communications and new hire orientation, through all of our people processes.

Develop creative ways to bring our EVP to life in distinctive ways for current employees including but not limited to internal awards, events, traditions, and swag.

Build strong external brand recognition as a desired employer for top talent nationwide.

DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging) Program Management:

Lead program vision and management for company DEIB efforts ensuring strategy and activities are aligned, coordinated and making progress towards our company goals.

Partner closely with other leaders company-wide to ensure our DEIB efforts are aligned and driving progress towards our goals beyond direct TAO team efforts.

Employee Engagement:

Run our bi-annual engagement surveys, applying the analysis and insights to inform action in partnership with leaders company-wide.

Guide the vision and ensure there is an ongoing cadence of events and activities to foster team-building and community.

Role Requirements:

  • 10+ years proven success guiding strategy and execution of global integrated communications campaigns that inform and delight employees.
  • Proven people leadership capability and ability to work cross-functionally to influence, coach and align toward a common communication strategy.
  • Ability and confidence to influence senior leaders on strategy, messaging, and engagement opportunities to drive pride, loyalty and advocacy.
  • Entrepreneurial and a hands-on style with a strong bias for action and results while working effectively in an environment that values collaboration without ego.
  • Excellent verbal communicator, strong writer and storyteller with proven ability to synthesize and accurately disseminate information from across a variety of business areas.
  • Strong business acumen and change management skills.
  • Exceptional project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Resourcefulness and self-motivation to independently prioritize shifting workloads in a high growth, ever changing environment.
