About the Role
With the strength of a brand that has become a household name, the SEO team is responsible for driving growth of organic traffic across all lines of the business, in nearly 70 countries around the world. This role will lead a team focused on kickstarting new initiatives across the delivery and mobility businesses in order to best leverage the power of search. Ideal candidates have experience leading global SEO teams, with a track record of success, and are ready to roll up their sleeves to tackle tough challenges.
What You'll Do

  • Lead a team of global SEO experts
  • Participate on the front-lines, leading complex cross-functional projects from idea to implementation.
  • Make an impact on the top line by influencing the direction of Uber's web presence across multiple lines of business.
  • Establish a shared vision across company stakeholders by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution.
  • Support the technical strategy of the web presence in the ideation, technical development, and optimization phases.
  • Understand Uber's evolving strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized as best in the industry.
  • Receive a roadmap for professional growth within Uber, including clear roles and responsibilities within the team organization and access to company sponsored learning opportunities.


Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of in-house experience with technical SEO within an international web business, driving projects from idea to implementation.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Deep knowledge of SEO, and advanced familiarity with HTML and technical SEO
  • Proven track record of driving execution with examples of successful international web optimization projects
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset, and ease with advanced Excel reports
  • Experience with SQL, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools
  • Knowledge of web programming languages
  • Statistics, economics, engineering, or mathematics background
  • Experience in product strategy and development
  • Entrepreneurial experience.

The SF Bay Area has been Uber’s HQ since day one. Today, it houses 3,500+ employees and almost every team has a presence here. We recently opened our new headquarters, adjacent to Chase Stadium. Uber's a hybrid work environment and employees target spending 50% of their time in the office.
