Meraki is looking for a passionate storyteller to help us amplify the Meraki story to a wide range of audiences from the small mom and pop shop to the largest enterprises around the world! We are looking for someone to develop strategic content that will drive engagement and increase awareness of our vision and products. Strategic, flexible, and resourceful, you thrive on creating content that builds excitement. As an integral member of the Marketing team, you work closely with the Head of Corporate Communications, product managers, Cisco counterparts, and other teams in the company to execute creative tactics in support of our goals and product priorities.

What you will do:

  • Develop, produce and lead the creation process of high-quality, engaging content to support integrated marketing campaigns and programs, including: case studies, customer stories, webinars, white papers, ebooks, promotional emails, social media and more
  • Build a global editorial and content calendar to ensure every piece of content meets both the quality and velocity bar you set for the team
  • Build strong relationships throughout the company to help unify our narrative and amplify our mission internally and externally
  • Partner with the sales and product teams to capture and offer expert advice on enablement content development
  • Lead weekly content meetings with key business partners to align and enable internal and external writers and content creators, including technical experts, executives, customers, partners and sales/product counterparts
  • Recruit, develop and motivate a small team of copywriters and content producers
  • Set content performance targets and prioritize projects based on demand generation goals.
  • Identify insights based on customer engagement and analytics, and define opportunities to optimize content based on data
  • Help evolve the editorial style guide and tone guidelines to ensure a consistent brand voice across the business

You have:

  • 10+ years managing editorial/content with a track record of crafting and delivering inspiring, must-read content across multiple mediums—print, web, mobile, video and experiential
  • Ability to be a self-starter; able to run with projects with (at times) minimal direction
  • Demonstrates first-class writing skills
  • Collaborative and able to work cross-functionally
  • Highly organized, meticulous with details and able to meet deadlines consistently
  • Creative, thoughtful and passionate about storytelling
  • Skilled at developing relationships with senior leaders and key partners, prioritizing and setting expectations as needed
  • Open and effective communicator; someone who is not afraid to throw out an idea or challenge an existing one to help advance the business mission
  • Curious; eager to learn and open to trying new things
  • Flexible, adaptable and open: able to prioritize multiple projects at once and un-phased by change
