Our team is a small group of pioneering software technical writers in a startup environment. We are looking for a writer to help us support our compliance efforts and to provide useful documentation for our software engineers, product and project managers, and clinical professionals. In this role, you will write software development plans, architecture guides, and procedures using documentation tools to review, route, and publish content.
You Will:
- Create software documentation including development plans, architecture guides, user guides, Application Program Interfaces (APIs), and various procedures.
- Help create and maintain software documentation best practices, standards, and templates.
- Help manage an internal glossary and wiki.
- Track your work using an issue-management tool based on Agile methodology.
- Use an electronic document management system to route, review, and store documentation.
- Develop a working knowledge of laboratory procedures, diagnostic assays, genomic sequencing, clinical trials, laboratory automation, and bioinformatics data analysis.
Your Background Should Include:
- 3 years experience documenting software development, preferably in a regulated industry, such as healthcare or life sciences
- Technical writing skills with experience creating procedures, user guides, and process diagrams
- Demonstrated grammar and editing skills, with experience using style guides
- Familiarity with compliance methodology, preferably with medical devices
- Experience managing documentation projects independently and as part of a team
- Experience working with the Google suite (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
- Experience using the Veeva document management system
- Experience using the Jira issue-management tool Experience using the Confluence wiki tool
