User Acquisition Manager, Mobile Games (Contract)
The Crunchyroll Games team is growing fast! We are a cross-functional team of highly-motivated people spanning several internal departments — from Business to Marketing to Audience Development to Design.
The team works closely with external content providers and licensors to develop and promote mobile games for the Crunchyroll community. We deploy a large scale budget against a wide array of paid marketing channels to drive brand awareness, conversion, and new users as well as lifecycle communications crafted to engage, retain, and promote additional value to our existing users.
We desire to evolve the way anime games are marketed and perceived in Western markets!
About the Role
Crunchyroll Games is seeking an User Acquisition Manager who will own paid media, growth, and analysis to support our expanding library of co-published and original mobile game titles continues to expand. This role will utilize owned and paid channels to raise awareness and acquire an engaged user base by building and executing on user acquisition strategies per game title.
As a key strategic member of the team, you are encouraged to nurture data insights to inform and optimize marketing plans that will ultimately contribute to our continually evolving best practices.
Location: San Francisco
Our headquarters is located in downtown San Francisco, where our group of cross-functional experts assemble to create experiences for Crunchyroll and VRV’s passionate communities.
A day in the life of our User Acquisition Manager:
- Own strategy across paid marketing channels globally including the spend and performance of an $X million budget
- Lead paid media planning and campaign development working within a fixed budget
- Execute campaigns across various ad platforms including Google Ads, Facebook, Apple Search Ads, Snapchat, etc.
- Optimize and analyze campaign results to fine-tune budget allocations
- Partner closely with our analytics team to measure effectiveness, drive efficiency, and develop impactful insights across the organization
- Collaborate with Marketing and Creative Services on the development of all creative assets (including static/video assets used for paid channels).
- Coordinate with Senior Marketing Manager to ensure alignment across Crunchyroll Games marketing strategy and prioritization
About You:
- 4+ years of professional experience in paid mobile app marketing with an understanding of app store optimization
- Demonstrated ability to meet revenue goals and drive post-app install metrics
- Proficiency in Excel and the analysis it pertains to the position
- Skilled in data synthesis and developing narratives to communicate results
- Kind, collaborative, and self-motivated with a stellar work ethic
- Passion for anime/manga, entertainment, and/or mobile gaming is a plus
