As a Vertical Marketing Manager, you will play a critical role within Product Marketing that is responsible for creating clear and compelling content and solutions to inspire key decision-makers at top-tier Wealth and Banking enterprises to see Plaid as an indispensable financial technology platform for achieving their most important business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will be an individual with a highly strategic mindset, able to understand technology in sufficient detail that you can easily converse with a customer and uncover business value. You will also be an excellent writer and presenter, able to communicate this value to various audiences. You will also have a ‘sales mindset’, with a keen understanding of how to leverage the story of one customer’s success to advance the sales process and drive overall business growth.

What excites us

  • 8+ years experience working in product marketing and sales organizations 
  • A balance of right brain, left brain: Being highly analytical, curious by numbers, and articulate in connecting data and insights to strategies that demonstrate creativity, and have a compelling story arc and narratives
  • Deep understanding of industry trends and customer insights in Banking and Wealth to identify industry-specific use cases 
  • Passion for sales enablement and working with sales team to leverage your content in a sales cycle 
  • Ability to create written materials and launch marketing campaigns 
  • Strong presentation skills with customers, prospects and industry analysts, as well as internal audiences, including colleagues and executive management

  • Managing customer engagement and feedback, collateral development, and scaled customer communication
  • Working closely with the Sales team to understand and influence enablement efforts
  • Partnering with Product, Design, Sales, Growth, and Support teams to gather feedback on products and performance
  • Working in a fast pace, ambiguous environment with a lean, collaborative team
